Cambridge Academy is dedicated to forming well-rounded, balanced young adults who will one day become strong, critical thinkers and an asset to society. Message from our Headmaster:
Cambridge Academy was envisioned to educate children: my children, your children – yes, our children! After teaching for 10 years I was disillusioned about the education provided in our city. As a father of two, I felt driven to establish an institution that served children and their needs and included family values and Christian principles. Today we consider, after much research about education systems, this vision to be Cambridge Academy – because there are like-minded parents and like-minded teachers who all want to educate children for life! Welcome to our Cambridge Family!
Cambridge Academy opened its door in 1999 as a Private School. We consider ourselves a forerunner in the field of education from 18 months to 18 years and we remain a school with a greater vision. High standards remain the cornerstone of Cambridge Academy and these are never sacrificed. These remain steadfast at all times for the sake of those who bind themselves to this marvellous institution.
As such, Cambridge endeavours to cater for all children. We recognize the parent as primary educator and the partnership between school and the home is an important realization. Each child finds security here and a feeling of well-being. Each child will find his or her niche in this school. This is a school that aims to educate its learners responsibly and towards responsibility and does not compromise its Christian values and morals.
Equal opportunities exist academically, culturally and on the sports field. As a child moves through each phase of Cambridge, self-confidence is developed as we encourage them to participate in all facets of school life. A matric certificate is not the ‘end result’ but rather a young adult’s first step towards life-long education. Cambridge is the stepping stone needed for a successful future.
We offer both the CIE and IEB qualifications. We are here to provide our community with a superior education, based on a solid foundation of authenticity and accountability in order to realize the educative occurrence. As such,we remain a school with a greater vision.
Proudly built on traditions, Cambridge’s facilities remain modern and aesthetically pleasing. Grounds and buildings are immaculately maintained, suiting the needs of all who enter its gates.
